Boston Tech Week Day 1 — the energy is unreal.
There were 5 events I really want to attend, but I could only attend 2 of them and honestly really wished I could split myself 😅
One of the highlights was the event : “From Models to Medicines: AI Tools Powering Drug Discovery” — honestly the perfect topic for me. Thanks to Jason Cordeiro, Caroline Pepek from MassBio for hosting this fantastic event.
Great to see both the depth and breadth of AI innovation happening across biotech and life sciences. a16z has picked very strong demo cases for the community.
- Phylo showcased impressive work on general-purpose AI agents for scientific workflows.
- Inductive Bio demoed highly interactive AI systems for small molecule design — exactly the kind of product and engineering details many scientists and engineers love to see.
- Eli Lilly presented collaborative AI and federated learning platforms tackling one of the industry's biggest challenges: data silos.
Boston continues to feel like one of the most exciting ecosystems for AI + biotech innovation right now. Great conversations with founders, researchers, investors, and operators building at the intersection of AI and biotech. Great meeting some old and new friend today: Madalene Crow, Becca J. Carlson, Ellen Lai Tunoa, Gary Ge, Kexin Huang, Michal Kubis, Becca J. Carlson, Zak Doric, PhD
And this is only Day 1. The next two days are even more packed: 4 and 5 back-to-back events respectively. Boston Tech Week definitely does not optimize for sleep 😂. See you tomorrow.
