Attended the Agentic Immunology Summit this past Thursday.

With nearly 10 years hands-on experience in immunology research during my PhD and postdoc training, and over a decade working in AI/ML across biotech and pharma, this meeting felt like the perfect intersection of two fields I care deeply about.

There is definitely a lot of hype around AI right now. But my biggest takeaway is that AI for life sciences and drug discovery is still just getting started. We’re already seeing strong impact in AI for workflow automation, process optimization, and scientific document generation. But AI for scientific reasoning and drug discovery remains an early journey, where human expertise and human-in-the-loop systems are still essential.

At WeDaita, this is exactly the vision behind BioMedAI and our Deep Biomedical Research Agents (DBRA): building AI systems that help scientists navigate massive biomedical knowledge spaces, accelerate mechanism-of-action (MOA) understanding, and support more confident therapeutic target decisions.

Really appreciated the thoughtful discussions with researchers, founders, pharma leaders, and AI innovators throughout the summit. Big thanks to Matthew Hurchik, Nick Hollmer and everyone involved in organizing such a great event. Also very nice meeting Sze-Wah 'Eva' Tse, 🚀 Sergei Pull, Ph.D., Dipen Sangurdekar and Tarek Leil, Arup Mondal
